Chago Engineering Development of PFAS-free hydrocarbon refrigerants
hello
We strive for the best engineering
Chago engineering
Recently, we published an article on ChagoEngineering.
On our official blog, we will summarize the article and introduce
and introduce our efforts and vision.
What are PFAS?
PFAS is a perfluorinated compound that has recently become an issue of environmental concern. It has been used in everyday life and as a refrigerant in semiconductor devices. However, it causes many diseases, including cancer, increases the risk of birth defects, and disrupts hormonal and immune function.
For this reason, 3M, a global chemical company that accounted for 85% of the PFAS refrigerant market, has announced that it will stop producing PFAS by the end of 2025. Korean semiconductor manufacturers such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, which use PFAS refrigerants, are making efforts to find alternatives, such as testing Chinese-made PFAS, but as long as they continue to use environmental pollutants as before, it will not be a fundamental solution.
Developing a PFAS-free
next-generation refrigerants to replace PFAS
Earlier this year, Chago Engineering completed the development of an eco-friendly refrigerant that can replace FC-3283. It is fluorine-free, hydrocarbon-based, and 50% cheaper than conventional refrigerants.
We are currently working to complete the development and obtain various certifications, MSDS, and food grade.
