hello. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your support team?
Hello, I'm Donghoon Oh from the customer support team. The customer support team is in charge of delivering chillers and repairing them when they malfunction or break down later. When we receive inquiries from customers, we travel to repair the problem, or if it is not possible to repair it on-site, we bring it to the customer and repair it.
What do you like most about the benefits of working at Garage Engineering?
First of all, it's nice to have a clear start and end time. Also, it's nice that when we have a company dinner, we're never forced to drink, and it's not a heavy atmosphere, but a light atmosphere that we all enjoy together.
I have a workshop coming up soon, is there a place you'd like to go?
I love the ocean. There are more recreational opportunities than in the mountains, and I personally prefer the ocean. I'm looking forward to the company, but I'm most looking forward to the meat, which is a staple everywhere.
How do you feel you've evolved since you first joined the company?
I've been here for a little over two months, and when I first joined, I was worried because it was different from my major, but I realized that you can do anything if you put your mind to it, so I think I've gotten a lot more responsibility than when I first joined.
Q. It must have been really hard for you to do something like this when it wasn't your major.
I've always loved working with machines, and it's fun to make things with my hands, so it wasn't that hard.
What's your most memorable task since joining the company?
I remember today is the day that Chiller shipped, and I joined the company in late July, and I've been watching it get built, and I've been watching it get into production, and I'm very proud to see that hard work pay off.
What do you think is the best thing about our support team?
I think the advantage is that we have a very supportive manager, and it's not just a formality, but he really cares about us. For example, when I asked him about something, he would say, “Let me check it out,” but he would actually grab the bench and show me with his actions, “This is how it works and this is how you should do it,” so I learned a lot.
What skills do I need to join the Support team?
I think it's important to be able to communicate well in the workplace because the customer support team travels a lot, so it's a lot of people-facing work, and I think the most important thing is the desire to do it. Even if it's difficult, I have a manager and teammates who support me.
Do you have any tips for interviewers looking to join Garage Engineering?
I think persistence and responsibility are the most important things in customer support, so if you can give me an example of something you've done in the interview where you were responsible, I think that would be great.
