Chago Interview Fifth Interview Department

hello. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your research team?

Hello, my name is Jinho Choi and I'm a part of the Research 1 team. The Research 1 team is in charge of supporting new R&D projects across the board. We research new equipment, parts, and apply to government projects, and if selected, we create new equipment that has never been tried before based on government funding.

Q. I thought the development team was working on new equipment, but this is what the research team does?

Yes, that's right, the difference is that the development team develops equipment that can be utilized in the semiconductor process by combining equipment that is already made, while the research team works on completely new equipment.

What do you like most about the benefits of working at Chago Engineering?

There are many benefits, but I would say that a good environment to work in is the most important one, such as supporting training to improve your skills, providing shoes or lab coats for safety, etc.

I have a workshop coming up soon, is there a place you'd like to go?

I'd like to go to the ocean, because I love the water, and when I go to workshops, we usually grill meat, and it would be nice to have some seafood.

How do you feel you've evolved since you first joined the company?

I joined the company in October 20, and in the four years that have passed, as the company has grown and the number of people has increased, I feel like my horizons have broadened as I'm now in a position to lead a team. Whereas before I was focused on elevating myself, now I aim to help my team members grow together.

What's your most memorable task since joining the company?

It might be obvious, but my favorite memory is when I first developed Chiller after joining the company in October 20, and when it went into mass production after development. I'm even more attached to it because I started as a rookie and learned from Chago engineering to development and design.

What do you think are the strengths of Study 1?

The advantage of working in a research team is that you can learn about government business practices that you can't easily learn anywhere else. Most people who join the research team don't know what it's like to work in government affairs, but the research team teaches you the process step by step, so it's easy for those who haven't worked in government affairs to adapt.

What skills do I need to join Research 1?

While it's good to know how to use a writing program like Hangul or Word, you'll often be working with pre-written forms, so the most important thing you'll need is the ability to be meticulous about what you write.

What do you think is most important in your work life?

I think the most important thing in the workplace is relationships, and you can't expect someone to be perfect when they're new, because you have to make a lot of mistakes when you're new so you can learn what's important, but I think it's important to make a good first impression because it takes a lot of work to get back on track.

What would you say to a new hire at Chago Engineering?

Congratulations on joining the company! In the course of your career, you may hear bitter words from your team leader or CEO, but I think it's good to think about the purpose of why they're being bitter. They're not doing it because they don't like you, they're doing it for your growth, so if you trust them and follow them, I think you'll have good results.
