The Next Generation Semiconductor Packaging Industry Exhibition was held at the Suwon Convention Center from August 28 to 30, 2024.

On this day, 168 companies, including Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, participated and operated 328 booths, exhibiting semiconductor packaging test equipment and assembly equipment.

Even though I visited early in the morning, the exhibition hall was crowded with people.​

Chago Engineering is a chiller company specializing in semiconductor post-process package testing and cryogenic testing, and we visited to understand trends in the semiconductor market and parts for developing next-generation chillers.

As the semiconductor packaging industry exhibition literally means, it was easy to understand various technologies and latest information such as semiconductor packaging, application equipment and materials, and technical solutions.

It was a meaningful experience to see devices containing next-generation technology that are compatible with the chiller under development.

Booths hosted by public institutions,

 

The booths of large companies that dominate the semiconductor market, such as Samsung and SK Hynix, stood out. It was a great help in broadening the understanding of semiconductor packaging by being able to understand the latest semiconductor technology trends and see the actual semiconductor packaging process on the TV screen.

When I looked around all the booths and left the exhibition hall, there were a lot more people there than when I came in.

I hope that Korea's semiconductor industry will receive global recognition and stand tall, as much as the enthusiasm felt at the industrial exhibition.
