Chago Interviews That First Interview Department
hello. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and the Production Technology team?
Hello, I'm Hwaseo Park, a researcher in the Production Technology team.
The Production Technology Team is a department that focuses on manufacturing cryo engines.
The production technology team is an integral part of Chago engineering as it oversees a variety of facilities, including utility rooms, performance test rooms, unit part manufacturing rooms, self-contained warehousing rooms, product shipping rooms, shelving and winding rooms, and primary labs.
Q. What are some of the different things you do as a researcher?
I'm in charge of manufacturing the Stirling engine.
I measure and experiment to make sure the core engine that powers the cryo engines works well. I manufacture and assemble the parts that go inside the Stirling and maintain the Stirling engine to keep it running well.
What made you want to join Chago Engineering?
I graduated from a semiconductor department, and my main job was to maintain semiconductor equipment, but since Chago Engineering is famous for its industrial semiconductor cooling devices, chillers, I was naturally interested in this field, so I applied.
What is the work environment like at Chago Engineering?
My favorite part is the interior. Every time I head to the production tech team, the panoramic view is soothing.
The room was clean and comfortable, and I didn't feel uncomfortable while working there.
Chago Engineering offers workshops quarterly, and we have a fall workshop coming up soon, do you have a preferred location?
I would love to go to Jeju Island for a workshop. I often go there with friends and family, and I love the sea and I love sashimi, so it would be fun to go together for 2 days and 3 nights if possible.
Is there anything you feel like you have improved or learned compared to when you first joined the company?
It's been about a month and a half since I joined the company, and since the work of the production technology team is diverse, it was nice to be able to learn a variety of things from the workload. Also, there is a lot of assembly and welding to be done, and I am very proud to see my skills improving quickly because I can see the results right away.
Q. Welding is really cool! What exactly do you weld?
This involves manufacturing parts that go inside the Stirling engine using a laser welder.
The cryo engine is small in volume and is the world's first integrated process equipment that can be integrated into the target equipment. As the parts inside it are also small, sophisticated technology is required.
What are the strengths of the production technology team?
First of all, the production technology team has a very spacious office compared to other departments, so it is comfortable.
I also think that it is an advantage that there is a lot of active work, so you can have fun while working without losing track of time.
What skills are needed to join the production technology team?
Q. Are there any qualifications you need to have to do a job like “You have to learn these things to join the production technology team?”
If I had to pick one thing, it would be passion. I think it's important to have confidence and passion that you can accomplish anything. Just as the team leader and supervisor have guided me, I will inform them with passion as a senior when a new employee joins!

Today, I took the time to interview Park Hwa-seo, a researcher in the production technology team.
It was a very meaningful time as I learned about the cryo engine production process and the characteristics of each room, which I did not know about.
